Dressing Via Text: Skimming Extra Pounds.

Incoming Text: Is there a trick for hiding holiday pounds?

Michelle: One word: Jackets! I’ll post pics on blog for u to look at.

Let’s face it, we all gained extra love in the mid-section during the holidays. But what do we do while we all work on our new cardio routines for 2009 to take that weight off? I always recommend the use of jackets to skim-off the pounds instantly. Below are some examples for you to try.

 Well Styled Tips:
1. Jacket should “skim” your waist, otherwise you’ll give the illusion of MORE WEIGH. Therefore, avoid jackets that flare at the waist and lean toward a blazer or cardigan.

2. If pettite, your jacket should be the same color tone as your bottom. For example, if you’re wearing dark denim trousers or dress pants, opt for a navy or black.

3. Use a bright color underneath and a great necklace so that the eye focuses on that and not the muffin-top.

You can never go wrongby adding a navy blazer to your wardrobe. This item will easily take you from professional to casual chic in an instant.

A bright colored cardigan in a "boxed" shape (meaning it flows with the width of your pants) looks beautiful with jeans or a classic navy or gray trouser.

Incoming Text: R gold shoes in for winter?

Me: A gold shoe is always in.  But opt for muted gold vs. bright gold [which can look tacky].  I’ll send you pics tonight.

These are the examples I sent to my client which can be worn most of the year!
